To advertise a product, show off new photographs, sell t-Shirts by posting them here and linking to your ecommerce site, whatever you would like. You could even make a landing page with homework for another class. :)
Add images and graphics, text, and make it attractive so people want to subscribe to your website, social media, youtube channel, whatever you are selling.
Landing pages are often used to sell webinars, conferences (Iterable's Activate Live was a landing page), books or classes.

Emma email marketing
Emma email marketing is a full service email marketing platform suitable for large and small companies, according to a PC magazine review written by Molly McLaughlin and Juan Martinez. Emma was founded in 2003 with headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee and an office in Portland. Emma offers a full suite of tools at three different levels, Pro, +Plus, and Emma HQ. McLaughlin and Martinez said it was a little more expensive than others and advised companies not needing the 2500 subscribers could find a cheaper alternative at MailChimp. Emma is known for their technical support, webinars, video tutorials, and client help with creative, strategy, and training.
